Issue two of Fragments, on “Israel: Democracy, Race, Ethnicity, and More,” was scheduled to publish in November, 2023. The Hamas attack of October 7 and subsequent war postponed the that publication. These online “Fragments of Fragments” represent the articles from the full issue that are most relevant; we hope they shed light on the current conflict and deepen the discourse about it.
The first Fragment addresses Israel’s right-wing religious and political movements. This second Fragment focuses our attention on the West Bank, where settler violence has increased dramatically during the war in Gaza. The third Fragment zooms out to take a look at Israel from a more global perspective.
