Amit Gvaryahu, Ph.D, will investigate this question in part two of Emor’s three-part series on the Threefold Cord: Democracy, Nationalism, and Human Rights in a Jewish State.
Amit Gvaryahu is a scholar of Talmud and Rabbinics, who has been a fellow of the Martin Buber Society of Fellows at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He has also taught at the Jewish Theological Seminary, Hadar, Drisha, Paideia in Stockholm, and the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome.
