Anker to speak about her 2022 book Ugly Freedoms, in which she analyzes the American emphasis on individual freedom and challenges our ideas of what freedom can look like, who can exercise it, and how to build a world free from domination. Anker is Associate Professor of American Studies and Political Science at the George Washington University.
